Main personal research emphasis is on potato tuberisation and genomics and on using genetics and genomics to address biological questions in crop plants which should lead to high yielding crops with excellent quality to be able to be produced in all kinds of environments in a sustainable fashion. Developmental biology of crop plants, genetics of combinatory stresses, genomics of crop plants, polyploid genetics, complex trait genetics, computer assisted breeding.
