Grace Makumi

I am a trained nematologist from Ghent university and a crop health specialist. Previously, I worked at the plant quarantine centre in Kenya, screening import and export crops against quarantine pests and diseases and providing advice on proper farm management. After my training at Green Arava, I developed a capacity-building program that benefited farmers from vulnerable groups and entrepreneurs. My current work involves developing training materials in the molecular field, updating data and communicating science for IPBO.
